Pivot, enables a new way to browse and arrange massive amounts of images and data online. Built on breakthrough Seadragon technology, it enables spectacular zooms in and out of web databases, and the discovery of patterns and links invisible in standard web browsing.
I was personally responsible for creating a visual design language and implentation. I had to learn and use XAML for WPF in blend and ended writing 95% of the front end. The project/product is no longer hosted by microsoft, but you can learn more below or at these sites:
I created a number of supporting assets based on Pivot brand and visual style
Mood boards I created during visual design phase, these were quick 10-15 minute sketches that helped portray a mood or visual style.
After creating the mood boards I categorized and grouped them, from these groups I created 4 distinct directions.
