Timeline: I Dedicated 90% of my day-to-day for 1 year.

My Role & Involvement:
Lead Product Design, product name, 0-1 concepts, product strategy, executive level presentations, user research partner, visual design, branding, interaction / IA, agency art direction, marketing partner.

Team:
2 Product Designers, 2 Product Managers, ~6 Engineers, Data Science, Content Designer, User Researcher, Marketing Manager, and Art Director.

I partnered with Marketing to create a Bonfire brand book.

I created the following fully interactive prototypes in origami; they were used in user studies, product reviews, presentations, and working specs for engineers.

Reactions are a way for people to be part of the conversation without having to interrupt verbally.

Problem:
People on Bonfire often miss each other because, by the time they get a notification that someone is there, that person has left.
Hypothesis:
While some people enjoy hanging out completely serendipitously, there is a barrier to entry to joining someone in a Bonfire when you don't know what to talk about. Presence notifications alone aren't sufficiently compelling. Allowing a user to broadcast an intent or topic of the bonfire will reduce the barrier.

Teens can use effects during video chats or when taking pictures using the Photo Booth feature. I partnered with art directors, producers, and AR effect artists to create a unique set of effects that fit the Bonfire brand.
